My cats would not let me near them when I used it, they so hated the perfume. They would actually run away if I had it on. On the other hand, my dog would be frantic to lick it off me. Personally I do not mind a bit of scent but I do not care for too much perfume either.So far it is wonderful to have this unscented version. The dog pretty much ignores it and the cats do not run and even let me pet them after I have used it. I am actually getting the benefits of the lotion because I can put it on regularly now. It does still have a pleasant mildly sweet scent just from the ingredients which include vanilla fruit extract.
